Night Shift Chemical Flaking Stand-up Forklift Operator

Reporting directly to the Flaking Supervisor, the Chemical Flaking Stand-up Forklift Operator is responsible for operating equipment and performing duties to ensure the continuous and effective operation of the Flaking department, meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotation (Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, repeat). This schedule includes working every other weekend.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent within a designated period after hire.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of stand-up forklift experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of continuous employment with a company; experience in manufacturing preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in ambient temperatures (high and low).
• Work a 12-hour shift with rotating schedule.
• Use ramps, stairs, and ladders to change elevation.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Independently lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Work overtime as needed.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts.
• Transport supersacks into warehouse storage.
• Operate equipment such as supersack and filling machines.
• Perform washouts and changeovers.
• Follow procedures and document manufacturing processes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality policies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Complete basic computer tasks and transfer inventory electronically.
• Other duties as assigned.
