Job summary

Saputo Inc. in the United States is seeking a Production Attendant for night shift to support cheese packaging operations. You will prepare packaging per customer specs, maintain records, follow GMPs, and ensure safety and efficiency across the line.

Qualifications

• Can consistently push, pull, and lift between 20 and 40 pounds.
• Can work with frequent bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and maneuvering around manufacturing equipment.
• Can continuously stand or walk on a concrete surface.
• Can work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
• Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Have basic analytical and numerical skills and the ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement.
• Can communicate effectively and efficiently.
• Have a working knowledge of Safety Methods and Procedures.
• Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.
• Are committed to food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
• Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
• Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
• Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare packaging according to customer specs, GMPs, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate production records and safety practices.
• Set up packaging line including machinery, printers, labels, and ingredients.
• Perform quality checks on packaging per production sheet.
• Read and interpret production worksheets.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Rotate through all line positions.
• Box and palletize accurately.
• Sanitize lines as needed.
• Enter data on production reports.
• Follow safety policies and strive for QA.
