Job summary

Cfg Health System is seeking a Charge Nurse to manage a nursing unit during night shifts. You will supervise staff, assign tasks, admit and discharge patients, and ensure supply and medication readiness.

The role requires leadership, strong clinical skills, and the ability to coordinate with physicians and the nursing team to maintain high-quality care. This is a part-time on-site position in Kearny, NJ.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved nursing education program with a diploma or an Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• 1–2 years of professional nursing experience.
• Current BLS Certification
• Requires critical thinking, organizational, decisive judgment, communication, good customer service skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions as needed.
• Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirement

Responsibilities

• Supervises one shift and shares 24-hour responsibility for nursing and paraprofessional personnel.
• Participates in recruitment and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Organizes training seminars and courses for staff education.
• Develops and enforces unit policies and procedures with Nursing Directors.
• Evaluates staff performance and conducts evaluations.
• Schedules evaluation conferences for non-supervisory staff.
