Job summary

Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery on the Night Shift. You’ll coordinate unit staffing, lead clinical objectives, and ensure delivery of high-quality mother and newborn care across shifts.

Responsibilities include directing nursing and support staff, planning shifts and assignments, assessing patient care needs, and supporting performance reviews and staffing decisions, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• RN licensed and BLS certified.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• Experience coordinating nursing staff and patient care in Labor & Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support associates during assigned shifts.
• Meet with staff and plan shifts, services, and patient care.
• Assess daily patient care needs and distribute assignments with productivity considerations.
• Complete performance evaluations and assist with hires/transfers/promotions.
