Job summary

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide direct patient care and lead clinical activities during night shifts on site. This Staff role requires a BSN and RN licensure with a minimum of one year in nursing, plus trauma and ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable.

You will work in a high‑volume ED environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team while upholding safety and quality standards and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within three years of assuming the Charge RN position.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
• Prioritizes wellness and evidence-based practice.
• Precepts staff new to healthcare and UCHealth.
