Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required.
• 2 or more years of experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors breaches in sterility.
• Scrubs, passes instruments and sutures to the physician as directed.
• Prepares the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies.
• Assists in delivering direct patient care in the OR under a nurse's direction.
• Transports patients to and from the Operating Room and positions them for surgery.
