Job summary

Prime Healthcare's St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (RCP I) to perform respiratory therapies, diagnostic tests, and patient care under physician orders.

The role requires license and NBRC CRT, BLS/ACLS/PALS within specified times, and a minimum of two years acute care experience; part-time night shifts are available with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) NBRC required; hired before Mar 2026 are exempt.
• BLS certification required on hire and kept current.
• ACLS certification within 60 days of hire and kept current.
• PALS certification within 60 days of hire and kept current.
• Associate degree or BS degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inhalation therapies, oxygen, and aerosol medications to improve breathing.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and life-support equipment.
• Possibly participate in rapid response with airway management and intubation.
• Assess respiratory status, adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Ensure respiratory equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
