Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ, seeks a dedicated CNA to join the 28-bed Medical-Surgical unit on a night shift. You will provide routine patient care, assist with daily living activities, collect data, and support the care team with clerical duties.

The role requires a CNA in-state certification, BLS, and strong organizational skills. Weekend rotations and holidays are required; differential pay applies for night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care.
• Collects patient data including vital signs, input/output and other delegated measurements.
• Recognizes and reports abnormalities or changes in patient health status to a licensed professional.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional; may include blood draws, foley catheters removal, EKGs.
• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintains complete patient records and ensures accessibility of chart forms.
• Assists in transporting patients and participates in OR room turnover as needed.
• Works under supervision on assigned unit in a fast-paced environment and communicates effectively with staff.
