Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the 2 East unit at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC. This role provides basic patient care, orients new patients, and supports the nursing team during night shifts.

You will assist with bathing, feeding, turning, reporting changes, and maintaining a clean, stocked unit. Strong English communication, reliability, and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Current registration with North Carolina Division of Facility Services.

Responsibilities

• Assists in admission of patients to the unit and orients to the unit and equipment.
• Responds to patient needs with direct assistance or by reporting to the appropriate person.
• Assists with implementing nursing plans of care by carrying out delegated tasks.
• Maintains patient safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Retrieves patient care items from medication/supply room as needed.
• Keeps patient environment clean and well-stocked.
• Participates in cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Engages in educational and Performance Improvement activities.
• Demonstrates responsibility for patient satisfaction, throughput, and HIP.
