St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role emphasizes safety and patient comfort within a hospital setting.

Qualifications include CNA certification, HS diploma, and preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications along with BLS. Prior acute care experience is favored. This is a full-time night shift with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred upon hire.
• EKG certification preferred upon hire.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to patients under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment under the direction of the Nurse in charge.
