Job summary

Pyrotek is seeking a Production Associate for the third shift (9:30 PM - 6:00 AM) in the Mining and Metals industry. Responsibilities include operating equipment, reading work orders, fabricating vacuum formed ceramic fiber shapes, and conducting inspections for quality and accuracy.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of manufacturing experience. Candidates should be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a loud shop environment, with forklift certification

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year manufacturing/machine operation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and work orders; apply mechanical skills to use required materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Good manual dexterity and basic math applied to measurements and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform production activities, including vacuum forming operations, mixing and decanting, assembling, inspecting and packaging, and hot press and CNC operations.
• Read and interpret work orders to fabricate vacuum formed ceramic fiber insulating shapes.
• Safely and accurately setup jobs based on work order instructions and drawings/job prints.
• Take precise measurements using tape, calipers, micrometers, and other instruments to assess product quality.
• Record data for inspection, raw material usage, and part quantities for inventory accuracy.
• Clock in and out of jobs via shop terminals to ensure accurate reporting.
• Notify supervision of machine issues or barriers impacting output.
• Perform basic Preventative Maintenance tasks as instructed.
