Job summary

Pyrotek is seeking a Chemical Treat Operator for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00 pm - 1:00 am) to identify, move, and prepare raw materials using band saws and set up the chemical treatment vessel and ovens. You will load, unload, and operate equipment while following production schedules and quality standards.

Responsibilities include documenting actions, handling materials safely, monitoring equipment, performing chemical tests, and maintaining strict quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Read, understand and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Ability to use and interpret dimensional measuring tools and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical products.
• Ability to obtain and maintain industrial equipment certification(s) (e.g., forklift).

Responsibilities

• Accurately read and follow production schedules by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material specs, and locations.
• Set up and operate vertical and horizontal band saw equipment to produce high quality parts within time and quality standards.
• Document and communicate actions taken: work orders processed, materials used, irregularities, and obstacles.
• Handle raw material safely: loading/unloading, verifying settings, selecting treatment sequence, inspecting products.
• Monitor chemical treat equipment and regulate to maintain temperature, pressure and vacuum.
• Perform chemical tests to ensure conformance with specs using standard test equipment and procedures.
• Maintain quality control: label materials, inspect first-run parts per prints and SOPs, complete maintenance logs, NOX sampling.
• Maintain equipment operability: operate per manufacturer instructions, perform preventive maintenance, assist engineers, replace worn tools/parts, report issues.
• Perform complex machine operations under supervision.
