Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Sumter, SC is seeking a Feed Haul Driver to safely transport feed to poultry farms, ensuring timely deliveries and proper documentation. You will collaborate with farm staff and mill personnel to support production and biosecurity protocols.

Shifts run night hours 1 pm–1 am, with benefits after 60 days, a 401(k) match, and paid time off. Training pays $21.90/hour, with post-training rates per load and per mile.

Qualifications

• 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months.
• If the driver has a positive test for drugs or alcohol in the previous 5 years, they are not eligible.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and operate a manual CMV.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed haul trucks safely and efficiently.
• Conduct equipment inspections following company guidelines and report issues.
• Operate trucks to maintain product quality and integrity.
• Communicate effectively with associates, maintenance staff, growers, and supervisors.
• Maintain equipment and keep trucks and work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
• Pick up each flock as directed.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule, using PPE.
• Foster a positive work environment through teamwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
