Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Truck Driver to transport live poultry or poultry feed from growers to facilities. The role requires a valid Class A CDL with at least one year of verifiable driving experience, and strict adherence to DOT safety regulations.

The position operates on a night shift, with pay at $28.25 per hour, and benefits available from day one. On-the-job training and a referral bonus are offered, with opportunities for long-term seasonal work and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
• Knowledge of DOT safety rules and federal/state transportation laws.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
• Strong work ethic and trustworthy character.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all DOT regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspections (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses).
• Assist with loading/unloading trailer as needed.
• Ensure load is secure before movement.
• Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight).
• Clean and wash tractor as needed.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Follow all company policies and laws.
• Handle all other duties as assigned.
