Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Manassas/Sterling, VA is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee to learn and perform deliveries of food products on local and intrastate routes. Trainees will ride with a driver trainer, complete required safety inspections, and learn to unload and verify orders while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include completing the training program, assisting with deliveries, ensuring paperwork accuracy, and maintaining safety standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• External Entry Level Hire: 0-6 months experience with a CDL A.
• Valid CDL A and ability to obtain DOT Health Card.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Rides-with and assists driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines at all times.
• Deliver and unload customer orders on the route; collect signatures and payments when required.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service logs and complete paperwork.
