Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn and grow into driver roles for local and interstate deliveries in Manassas, VA or Sterling, VA. You will participate in training, shadow experienced drivers, and perform safety checks while delivering food products to customers.

Position offers home daily routes with Sunday through Thursday nights, and a first year earning potential over $95,000.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL A prior to employment.
• Pass post offer drug test and road test.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Attains or has valid DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Learn to and/or gain experience driving tractor trailer or straight truck on various routes.
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections and report issues.
• Deliver and unload orders, obtaining signatures and collecting payments where required.
• Ensure secure loading and proper paperwork for freight.
• Complete daily hours of service and keep logs per DOT requirements.
