Job summary

NHC Place Sumner in Gallatin, TN is seeking compassionate Resident Assistants to join our care team. You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities, monitor residents, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for our long-term care residents.

Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred but not required. Full-time, day and night shifts are available; training and teamwork are emphasized to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Ability to promote teamwork and resident comfort.
• Willingness to follow care plans and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care) daily or as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output as assigned.
• Turn and reposition residents to prevent bedsores.
• Observe changes in resident condition and report promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident rooms and common areas.
