Job summary

NHC Place Sumner in Gallatin, TN is seeking dedicated Resident Assistants for day shifts (7am–7pm) in a full-time capacity to support residents in long-term care, skilled nursing, and memory care settings.

Providing compassionate personal care, assisting with daily living activities, and collaborating with nursing staff are essential. Training is provided, and teamwork is highly valued to ensure resident safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care) for residents daily and as needed.
• Assist with transferring and ambulating residents using appropriate devices.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other measurements as assigned.
• Turn and position residents regularly to prevent bedsores.
• Report changes in resident condition to Charge Nurse.
• Assist in collecting data for MDS and care plans with input to nurses.
• Ensure residents receive adequate hydration and nutrition; prepare meals and assist with dining as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas and ensure cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms.
