Job summary

Via Elegante Assisted Living and Memory Care in Tucson seeks a compassionate Night Shift Caregiver to provide overnight care, ensuring residents are safe, comfortable, and well cared for during the night.

This full-time role offers a $1,500 signing bonus, pay from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour with night differential, and a generous benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with matching, Paid Time Off and Tuition Reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must have Arizona caregiver certification or CNA/LNA (16-hour bridge to CG)
• Arizona Memory Care Certification required (can be provided by Via Elegante)
• CPR and First Aid certification required

Responsibilities

• Overnight safety checks and comfort for residents
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance while promoting independence
• Monitor health and well-being, including mobility and transfers as needed

About the Role

As a Night Shift Certified Caregiver at Via Elegante, you will play a vital role in keeping our residents safe, comfortable, and well cared for through the overnight hours. Working at our Tucson Mountains community, you will provide compassionate care and help create a calm, restful environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overnight Safety and Comfort:
  • Conduct regular resident checks throughout the night to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, providing reassurance and support.
  • Support residents who are awake at night, including those with memory care needs.
• Personal Care and Wellness:
  • Provide dignified assistance with personal care, promoting independence and honoring choices.
  • Assist with toileting, repositioning, and evening and early-morning hygiene routines.
  • Provide end-of-life comfort care, ensuring peace and dignity for residents.
• Health Monitoring and Support:
  • Conduct routine health assessments, including vital signs and blood glucose checks.
  • Assist with mobility and safety during transfers, using assistive devices as needed.
• Nutritional Care and Medication Management:
  • Accommodate special dietary needs and assist with snacks or fluids as needed.
  • Monitor nutritional intake and hydration levels.

Requirements:

• Valid Arizona Caregiver Certification or CNA/LNA (16-hour bridge to CG required)
• Valid Arizona Memory Care Certification (can be provided by Via Elegante)
• Valid in-person CPR and First Aid Certification
• Proof of Negative TB Test (can be provided by Via Elegante)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving
• Ability to work independently and stay alert during overnight hours

Shift:

• Night Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
