Job summary

Hilltop Community Resources in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a dedicated Care Specialist to support adults with traumatic brain injuries within the Life Adjustment Program. This full-time role emphasizes compassionate care, dignity, and teamwork to improve residents’ quality of life.

You will assist with personal care, document progress, communicate needs, and participate in regular team meetings. Overnight shifts may involve driving residents in accessible vehicles.

Qualifications

One year of related experience or two years of work experience required.
Minimum 18 years of age; overnight positions require 21+.
Driver's license preferred/required for overnight positions.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior aligned with Hilltop Life Adjustment Program values.
Provide direct personal care and hygiene assistance per Care Plans.
Communicate needs of residents and staff for quality service.
Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
Provide basic behavior management for brain-injured residents with safety in mind.
Maintain professional boundaries and protect privacy and dignity.
Overnight roles may require driving residents using accessible vehicles.
Assist with housekeeping to maintain clean resident apartments and grounds.
Attend team meetings and in-service trainings.
