Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is hiring Care Partners (Nursing Assistants) to provide hands-on patient care and support clinical procedures on a night shift. You will assist with daily patient care, blood draws, catheter care, and specimen collection under RN supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and certification or RN program enrollment. Prior hospital experience and strong teamwork are preferred. Daytime orientation is required for all staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Enrollment in an RN program with first semester completed or Nursing Assistant/Aide certificate.
• 1 year of recent Care Partner/Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Support clinical procedures including blood draws and catheter care.
• Maintain unit environmental standards and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Follow unit workflows to ensure safe patient flow and operations.
