Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Unit Coordinator for 2 South-Telemetry / Med Surg. This full-time night shift (7 PM–7 AM) role leads nursing care on a high-acuity 25-bed unit with 1:6 staffing and rotating weekends, offering growth in a magnet-designated environment.

The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates clinical leadership, manages workflow, and drives safety and quality initiatives under the department manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Registered nursing license is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Certification in a clinical specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and nursing care in the assigned unit.
• Lead safety and quality initiatives and simplify workflow.
• Enhance staff satisfaction and promote Gold Standard customer service.
