Job summary

North Okaloosa Medical Center is currently seeking an experienced inpatient RN for a 12-week contract on the Cardiac/Stroke Medical/Surgical Unit (2 South). The RN will work night shifts (6pm–6am) with potential for full-time placement and PRN options.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team. The role requires 0–2 years in clinical nursing, strong assessment and communication skills, and adherence to

Qualifications

• RN nursing degree required.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care.
• License to practice nursing in state or compact requiring active renewal.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to develop care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and discharge plans.
• Uphold infection control and safety standards.
