Job summary

ISS Facility Services - North America seeks a Cabin Cleaning Supervisor to lead custodial teams on three shifts in a manufacturing setting and act as onsite supervisor for janitorial functions. The role requires hands-on oversight of up to five staff per shift and strong English communication skills.

The ideal candidate has five years in janitorial roles with supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to manage scheduling, payroll, and safety compliance at the site.

Qualifications

• Five years of janitorial experience with a Facilities Maintenance/Janitorial Services firm.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to provide hands-on oversight to custodial team of up to five members per shift.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Must clear background checks and security requirements for facility access.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, customer representatives and management.
• Experience performing administrative tasks related to scheduling and payroll.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and oversight of union custodial workforce at assigned site.
• Schedules employees and work to be performed according to site needs.
• Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
• Direct special cleaning projects.
• Communicate with tenant/customers in a professional manner.
• Continually inspect quality levels and retrain staff as needed to maintain quality of service for customer.
• Inventory supplies/materials on hand as directed by Janitorial Manager.
• Review and ensure accurate time keeping records of all employees and process payroll for employees.
• Disciplines employees in partnership with the Janitorial Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures completion of janitorial work and all administrative tasks including progress reports, incident reports, safety reports, staffing reports, time sheet/payroll reports.
