Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and job safety analysis.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
• Reads, writes and speaks English.

Responsibilities

• Weighs each ingredient and adds to the batch.
• Ensures the product is ready to dry.
• Carries out all QA checks in the mix room.
• Operates the pH meter, refractometer, etc. to keep product within specifications.
• Performs routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Follows plant operating and cleaning procedures and GMPs.
• Assists with safety analysis and training of new employees.
• Attends safety meetings and reports unsafe acts.
