Job summary

Northlake Behavioral Health in Louisiana seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our behavioral health care team. This full-time night shift position, with PRN shifts on all shifts, offers opportunities to provide compassionate patient care in a collaborative setting.

The LPN will work under the supervision of an RN, administer medications, monitor patient status, and participate in care planning to ensure safe, effective treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing.
• At least one year of experience in psychiatric/behavioral health or medical field preferred.
• Current Louisiana LPN license; BLS and CPI certification; training provided if missing.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered and monitor for variations.
• Attend shift change reports to communicate patient care updates.
• Assist with labs, EKGs, and other tests as ordered.
• Assist in setting up appointments and coordinating follow-ups.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Contribute to treatment planning and updates on interventions.
• Document nursing activities and maintain records.
• Assist MHTs and other duties as needed.
