Quanex in Ohio is seeking a Batch Off Operator to operate the batch-off and packaging of mixed compound. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to monitor production output and maintain quality control.

You will run the computer control system, refill batch dip, maintain slab dip levels, and operate packaging containers. Forklift experience and safety compliance are essential; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School or GED is preferred.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Close visual work required.
• Knowledge of general computer skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate batch-off and packaging of mixed compound.
• Monitor production output to maintain quality control.
• Operate computer control system and barcode printer.
• Refill batch dip and maintain proper slab dip levels.
• Maintain and operate packaging containers; clean batch-off bars weekly.
• Operate Pelletizer and follow safety procedures; may require forklift use.
