Job summary

FGF Brands in Brownsburg, IN is hiring 3rd shift Machine Operators to join our growing production team. The role focuses on operating palletizer, depositor, oven and related equipment safely, maintaining GMP standards and clean work areas.

You will work Monday through Friday 10:50 PM to 7:00 AM, perform routine adjustments, monitor quality, document production data, and collaborate with teammates to meet or exceed daily targets. High school diploma and 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year work experience required.
• Must have great attention to detail to detect presence of product or production issues.
• Ability to understand verbal and written communications in English.
• Equipment operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machines following safety guidelines at all times.
• Work within a group to meet/exceed established production standards.
• Make minor adjustments to maintain the greatest operational efficiency of their assigned equipment.
• Load and replenish as necessary the machine with the appropriate material in an efficient and safe manner.
• Determine and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate parties.
• Monitor for and detect defective materials.
• Document accurate information on production and packaging forms.
• If operating the equipment responsible for controlling the Critical Control Point per HACCP, the equipment must be set up properly as stated in the procedure.
• Shut off machinery before clearing jams and utilize lockout procedures during cleaning or adjustments.
• Complete all company paperwork to document periodic quality checks and production records.
• Maintain upkeep: clean floors, dispose waste properly, and keep machines/conveyors clean at shift end.
• Operate machinery following safety guidelines and assist in preparing for shift production.
• Collaborate with team to understand machine mechanics and operation.
• Follow cGMPs, food safety programs, and safety programs.
• Troubleshoot production/packaging problems and coordinate with other departments for resolution.
• Communicate problems or issues on the production floor to management and other departments.
• Suggest improvements to production line and participate in quality programs.
