Job summary

Maker's Pride in Terre Haute, IN is hiring a Baker to ensure products from the oven meet specifications and maintain clean, organized work areas. You will inform the mixing supervisor of any deviations and support teammates during start-ups and changeovers.

The role emphasizes precision, the ability to read gauges, and following GMPs to produce consistent baked goods while adhering to attendance and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and at times independently.
• Ability to measure and read scales and thermometers; understands units of measurement.

Responsibilities

• Check production schedule for products being run on assigned oven(s).
• Set up the oven for the item being produced per prescribed procedures.
• Obtain the correct product color sample.
• Make raw dough weight adjustments as needed.
• Assist the machine operator at start-up and/or product changeovers.
• Record product check information on required forms at prescribed times.
• Monitor the product coming out of the oven and report any problems to the mixing supervisor.
• Meet company attendance standards of start and end time for work as scheduled.
