Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids is seeking a reliable Bag Cook for the 3rd shift (9:30pm-6:00am) to join a 3-shift, non-union operation producing soups and related products. You will follow recipes, operate kettles, monitor viscosity, and ensure clean, safe conditions across multiple lines.

This role requires physical stamina (lifting up to 50 lbs.), resilience under pressure, accurate paperwork, QA sampling, and strict adherence to food safety policies.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and well organized.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Able to work well under stress.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Adherence to food safety policies.
• Follow QA/QC and safety procedures.
• Q-RMP standards must be observed.

Responsibilities

• Check viscosity of soup.
• Wash and sanitize kettles after every formula to ensure a clean surface for the next product run.
• Process a daily schedule by referring to recipes and coordinating prep department.
• Fill out paperwork / IQS entries and inspections.
• Load ingredients into kettle.
• Take samples to QA.
• Retrieve/Return containers from prep/blanch.
• Quality and HAACP checks; follow safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
