Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an hourly Bag Cook for the 3rd shift (9:30pm-6:00am) to produce high-quality soups. You will safely and accurately prepare ingredients from prep and spice areas according to recipes, working across multiple positions as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and wearing proper PPE. Non-union plant with growth opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented and possess good organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. above your head.
• Must be able to perform well under stress.
• Working conditions include extremes of hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Must be able to work in a safe manner.
• Must ensure quality products are being packaged.
• Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies and Safety Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Check viscosity of soup
• Wash and sanitize kettles after every formula to ensure a clean surface for the next product run
• Process a daily schedule by referring to recipes and coordinating prep department
• Fill out paperwork / IQS entries and inspections
• Load ingredients into kettle
• Take samples to QA
• Retrieve/Return containers from prep/blanch
• Quality (Verify product quality, item numbers, weights, HAACP checks)
• Safety (follow all required safe work practices – i.e. PPE, JSA)
• Other duties as assigned.
