Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace is seeking an Avionics Electronics Technician to perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of avionics equipment in an FAA-regulated environment. The role requires soldering fine pitch and SMD components, analysis against customer specifications, and adherence to Collins Aerospace workmanship standards.

The position involves night shift hours, onsite work, and safety-sensitive duties with FAA/40 CFR compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or AA/AS with 4+ years in electronics troubleshooting.
• Experience diagnosing electronics to component level is preferred.
• Experience in Collins Aerospace MRO environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and modify avionics equipment under supervision.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting to component level.
• Solder fine pitch and SMD components.
• Analyze product requirements and approved documentation.
