Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Avionics Electronics Technician to perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of avionics equipment in an FAA-regulated environment at the Wichita site. Night shift details apply, with specific duties spanning servicing, analysis, and component-level troubleshooting.

Requires a HS Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience and prior Collins MRO exposure.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must have prior experience troubleshooting electronics equipment.
• Prior experience working in a Collins Aerospace MRO environment.

Responsibilities

• Works under general supervision to service/repair/modify avionics equipment.
• Performs a variety of duties, including servicing, operating, maintaining, and repairing avionics equipment.
• Conducts technical analysis of products and modifications to customer requirements and approved documentation.
• Soldering fine pitch and SMD components.
• Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
• Utilizes a good understanding of electronic theory to effect timely repairs.
• Not responsible for sales activities.
• May involve lifting 25+ pounds and standing for long periods.
