Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a reliable Temporary Automotive Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. You will service a diverse range of vehicles, including delivery trucks, heavy equipment, and trailers, with propulsion systems that may include diesel, gasoline, CNG, LNG, propane, hybrid, and some electric technologies.

The role focuses on diagnosing and maintaining hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Automotive Mechanic experience with medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Hands-on fleet repairs, welding and cutting.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday.
• Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
