Job summary

Flex in Austin, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our automation and robotics systems operating reliably. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, read schematics, and support installation and calibration of automated equipment.

You’ll collaborate with the automation team, perform preventative maintenance on robotic tooling, and help develop hardware and software for automation solutions while working Sunday to Thursday nights.

Qualifications

Experience with automation and robotics equipment.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
Experience with PLCs.
Experience with electrical assembly and cabling.
Strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and return to serviceability.
Ensure preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment on a scheduled basis.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and complex automated system drawings.
Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems.
Assist engineers in developing hardware and software for automation solutions.
