Job summary

Perrigo is seeking an Automation Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve automation and control systems across manufacturing, packaging, facilities, and utility operations. The role supports PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, BMS, vision systems and robotics, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams.

The position offers 3rd shift hours (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM) with a pay range of $42.00–$52.00 per hour and requires 3–5 years of industrial automation experience in a regulated

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting industrial automation in manufacturing.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, BMS, instrumentation, drives and industrial networks.
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated manufacturing environments and GMP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and support automation, controls, instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Provide technical support for packaging and bulk manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Modify PLC, HMI and SCADA applications as approved.
• Support automation platforms including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric and vision systems.
• Assist with startup, commissioning, validation, and integration of new equipment.
• Participate in root cause investigations and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, safety, data integrity and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and system integrators as needed.
