Job summary

Hoffer Plastics is seeking an Automation Technician to repair and maintain automated machinery and related equipment. The role supports production of plastic components across transportation, packaging, and healthcare sectors, with a starting pay range of $32.00–$42.00 per hour based on experience.

2nd Shift hours are 3:30am–12:30am. The company offers extensive training, benefits, and opportunities for career growth within a stable, third-generation family business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year technical degree in related field.
• 5 years of PLC programming experience with systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical control, vision system, PLC systems, robotics and continuous motion systems preferred.
• Mechanical understanding with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical principles and blueprints; ability to read prints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all automated devices used in runner removal, part handling, separation or packing.
• Service machinery in the press and assembly department; handle secondary operations.
• Diagnose trouble, disassemble, evaluate repairs; prioritize tasks.
