Job summary

Centillion Infotech LLC in Buffalo Grove, IL is hiring an Automation Technician for molding or assembly machines. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and program automated systems to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.

The role requires hands-on experience with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, vision systems, and EOAT design, plus reading electrical/mechanical schematics. Shift is 6 pm–6 am on-site, with onsite interviews for candidates. 25 openings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Industrial Automation.
• 2–5 years of experience in Injection Molding or Assembly Automation.
• Hands‑on experience with robot programming and troubleshooting (Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, Wittmann, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial sensors, conveyors, and vision systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Knowledge of EOAT (End‑of‑Arm Tooling) design and maintenance.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of automation equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain molding/assembly automation systems, robots, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
• Program and optimize robots for part handling, packaging, and cycle time improvements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
• Support mold trials, new product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain robot programs, equipment documentation, and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with safety, ISO, FDA, and GMP requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
