Job summary

BD is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support production equipment reliability in a fast-paced facility in Sandy, Utah. The role focuses on fixing, repairing, and improving equipment, with an emphasis on safety and uptime.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 1 year of related manufacturing maintenance experience, plus knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. On-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• 1+ years repairing industrial manufacturing equipment, machinery, or packaging equipment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Solve issues and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform routine and emergency repairs
• Complete preventive maintenance activities and document maintenance work
• Support assigned production lines to improve equipment uptime and efficiency
• Replace defective machine components and coordinate fabrication of replacement parts when needed
• Fix equipment performance issues and identify root causes of recurring problems
• Assist with equipment improvements and proactive maintenance initiatives
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
• Mentor less experienced maintenance team members and support production personnel
• Work independently or as part of a team to resolve equipment breakdowns quickly and safely

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Maintenance Technician experience in manufacturing

Troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems

Read blueprints and schematics

Preventive maintenance practices
