Job summary

BD is a leading medical technology company seeking a Maintenance Technician in Sandy, UT. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to keep manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently.

You will work with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams on preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. The position features rotating 12-hour shifts (5:40 PM - 5:50 AM) with every other weekend off and requires being onsite with strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 1-4 years of experience repairing industrial equipment or high-speed manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment issues.
• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and replace machine components to minimize downtime.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production support.
• Perform equipment adjustments, testing, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and support operators on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
• Participate in 5S, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Help drive equipment reliability, uptime, and overall production performance.
