Job summary

First Quality is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Programmer to design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain automated control systems on our production lines. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), HMI/SCADA development, and familiarity with industrial networks. This role is night shift at our Salt Lake City facility.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
2+ years of experience programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or similar).
Experience with HMI/SCADA software development and robotics programming.

Responsibilities

Program, develop and improve PLC programs for production, process and packaging equipment.
Configure and improve HMI screens for operator control and monitoring.
Maintain robotics systems integrated into production lines.
Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new automated equipment.
Maintain documentation of control logic, wiring diagrams, and program revisions.
Provide training and technical support to maintenance technicians and operators.
