Crosby’s Stores in New York is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and support the Team Leader in delivering exceptional customer service. You will supervise team members, maintain high standards, and drive store success.

The role includes overseeing operations, merchandising, and inventory while ensuring compliance with safety and company regulations. A positive, team-focused mindset is essential for this at-will position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work at least 40 hours/week, including weekends.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Serve Safe certified, preferred.
• Proficient in basic math for cash handling, shift reports, and vendor check-ins.
• Ability to operate POS and lottery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to every customer.
• Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items following Crosby’s standards.
• Promote and assist customers with My Crosby’s Rewards enrollment.
• Drive sales through suggestive selling and add-on recommendations.
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues when the Team Leader is not present.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and brand standards.
• Support merchandising, promotions, and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, tobacco, alcohol, and company regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Train, coach, and support store associates.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining staffing levels.
• Provide feedback on employee performance and development.
• Foster a positive, respectful, team-oriented work environment.
• Assist with inventory control, audits, and reporting.
• Support accurate cash handling and daily bank deposits.
• Review timekeeping and assist with payroll processing; report discrepancies.
• Maintain safe and secure store environment; follow opening/closing procedures.
