Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh are seeking an Armed Security Officer to perform continuous patrols and safeguard patients, staff and visitors. The role involves night shifts (6:00 pm–6:30 am), weekend commitments, and the responsibility to protect hospital property across both campuses.

Applicants must have a current FOID card and be able to attend a four-week academy at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (6:30 am–3:00 pm).

Qualifications

21 years or older to work in this position.
Responds to emergency situations per Security Department protocol.
Ensures equipment issued during duties is maintained.
Provides continuous security patrols of the medical center.
Mitigates crisis situations such as code responses, disturbances, fires and drills.
Documents incident reports for patrol vehicles.

Responsibilities

Individuelles must be 21 years or older to work in this position.
Responds to emergency situations according to approved Security Department protocol.
Ensures equipment issued and used during the execution of duties is properly maintained.
Provides continuous security patrols of all areas of the medical center.
Mitigates crisis situations such as code responses, responding to disturbances, fires and disaster drills and situations.
Ensures proper documentation is completed on all patrol vehicles. Responsible for documenting incident reports.
