Job summary

Votaw Precision Technologies in Santa Fe Springs, CA, seeks an experienced HBM/ VM Machinist to handle large-scale machined flight hardware. You will operate and set up Horizontal and Vertical CNC milling centers, interpret complex drawings, and ensure tight tolerances in a high-precision, aerospace-focused environment.

This role requires 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing, experience with AS9100/ISO, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing experience: 10+ years minimum.
• Experience in AS9100 and ISO environments.
• Ability to read, interpret, and interrogate complex drawings and tolerances (GD&T).
• Experience in a mechanical job shop environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components for conformance to specifications.
• Set up and operate Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Centers (3-4 axis).
• Support programming and tooling usage.
• Interpret travelers, blueprints, and drawings with limited supervision to achieve goals.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and plug gauges for measurement.
• Cross-train and support development of other employees; participate in continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area daily.
• Additional duties as assigned.
