Job summary

TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH is seeking an Acute Care Technician for the 6300 Medical-Surgical Unit. This role focuses on orthopedic, neurosurgery, and trauma patient care, including pre- and post-operative care, pain management, and neurovascular assessments.

Qualifications

• 2 years High School Education.
• Age 17 with work permit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience as an STNA, PCA or ACT strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under RN supervision; maintains competency in trained skills, completes assignments on time, and seeks clarification when needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment by reporting hazards, following Infection Control policies, completing safety event reports, and adhering to safety and emergency procedures.
• Communicates effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and team members; reports patient information and assignment issues promptly; documents observations accurately; collaborates with the healthcare team and uses the chain of command appropriately.
• Supports unit operations by performing supply, equipment, and environmental tasks; reports shortages or equipment problems and ensures supplies/equipment are ready for the next user.
• Demonstrates accountability and commitment to self‑growth; identifies areas for improvement and supports organizational and unit changes.
