Job summary

TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH is hiring an Acute Care Technician to support the 6200 Medical-Surgical Unit with urology-focused care. This full-time day shift role provides hands-on patient care under RN supervision, emphasizing safety, teamwork, and documentation.

The unit seeks motivated individuals with BLS, basic reading and math skills, and prior STNA/PCA/ACT experience; opportunities for professional growth, certification, and a supportive culture are highlighted.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position.
• Experience as STNA, PCA or ACT strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under RN supervision; maintains competency in trained skills, completes assignments on time, and seeks clarification when needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment by reporting hazards, following Infection Control policies, completing safety event reports, and adhering to safety and emergency procedures.
• Communicates effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and team members; reports patient information and assignment issues promptly; documents observations accurately; collaborates with the healthcare team and uses the chain of command appropriately.
• Supports unit operations by performing supply, equipment, and environmental tasks; reports shortages or equipment problems and ensures supplies/equipment are ready for the next user.
• Demonstrates accountability and commitment to self-growth; identifies areas for improvement and supports organizational and unit changes.
