Job summary

Prisma Health’s Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca, SC, is seeking a patient care team member to support emergency department patients under supervision. You will perform direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, conduct basic procedures, document in the EMR, and support transport and comfort measures.

Education: HS diploma or GED plus related training; no experience required, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education - High School Diploma or GED and completion of a nursing assistant, patient care tech, medical assistant, EMT, Paramedic, surgical tech, phlebotomy, military medical corpsman or nursing fundamentals course.
• Experience - No experience required. Experience as nursing assistant, patient care tech, medical assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Surgical Tech, Phlebotomist, Medical Corpsman or nursing student preferred.
• For facilities/units that require monitor tech responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice as directed by providers and licensed staff.
• Assists with activities of daily living and positioning of patients.
• Performs data collection including vitals and basic monitoring; documents in EMR.
• Performs basic procedures as trained and delegated by RN.
• Assists with transport, comfort measures, and fall prevention.
• Maintains equipment, cleans rooms, and supports department operations.
