Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician to support the plan of care. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, collect vitals, and document observations for the RN, maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Night shift work is required. Educational background: completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program.
• No experience required.
• CNA certification is required.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Working knowledge of patient equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Provide patient care as delegated by the RN, including dressings and perineal care.
• Perform data collection including vital signs and fluid intake/output; document observations.
• Inform RN of activities performed and status changes.
• Respond to call lights and assist with transports as needed.
• Perform point-of-care testing as trained and delegated by RN; report lab values.
• Provide comfort and non-pharmacological pain management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
