Job summary

Summit Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the Senior Behavioral Health Unit on the night shift at Summit Hospital in Show Low, AZ. This role supports nursing staff by delivering essential patient care and preparing for procedures.

You will document care and assist with admissions, transfers and discharges in hospital IT systems, maintaining patient safety and privacy while promoting a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• BLS CPR AED certification within 30 days of hire.
• High School education or better.
• Preferred CNA, LNA, PCT or EMT-B license.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including vital signs, hygiene, positioning and mobility.
• Assist with setup for medical procedures and post-mortem care as needed.
• Document patient care, I&O and communicate with nursing and medical staff.
• Admit, transfer and discharge patients in hospital systems (AllScripts, PeriWatch).
• Maintain patient safety, HIPAA compliance and accurate census.
