Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Miami Beach is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to maintain a visible security presence, identify hazards, and uphold the brand’s standards for guest experience. The role supports safety, privacy, and wellbeing across the property.

Responsibilities include patrols, rapid incident response, First Aid/CPR when needed, access control, and detailed reporting. A High School diploma and prior hotel/security experience are preferred, with strong communication and discretion

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; security experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and respond quickly during shifts.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional guest interactions.
• Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to Highgate policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional security presence across the property.
• Conduct regular patrols to keep areas secure and compliant with policies.
• Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid/CPR when required.
• Assist guests with room access and safety concerns with discretion.
• Monitor security systems and regulate access for authorized personnel.
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
